- The basics
We don’t like spam and assume you don’t, either. We will rarely bother you with information on new features. Please let us know if you do not wish to receive this information.
- What information does Newstral collect and process?
- Newstral account
In order to make optimal use of the services offered by Newstral, it is necessary to create a personal Newstral account. When you create such an account, you may enter certain information about yourself. You are not obliged to provide all the data. However, it may be the case that you are unable to use certain services, without providing further information about yourself. You can always change your profile details here.
- Automatically Generated Data
Newstral requires certain information in order for the Newstral website to work as optimally as possible (for example, to display web pages correctly and to keep the website secure). That is why Newstral collects automatically generated data about your browsing behaviour during your use of Newstral. This information consists of your IP address (your computer’s number, which makes it possible to recognize your computer), the type of browser you are using (the computer program you use to view internet pages), the computer system you use, account number, the pages on the Newstral website you visit and “cookies”.
- For what purposes will Newstral use information about you?
- Use by Newstral
Newstral may use your personal information for the following purposes:
- To provide Newstral services.
Newstral uses the information about its users to provide its services, such as to operate the Newstral website.
- To communicate with you about Newstral and to send you information concerning Newstral own services.
Newstral uses your data, for example, to answer your questions about the website and to inform you of changes to Newstral services. Again, we at Newstral do not like spam and assume that you do not like it either. Therefore, Newstral will send you information regarding the Newstral services when we think you will appreciate such information. If you do not wish to receive such e-mails, please inform us about this.
- To configure Newstral to your wishes and needs.
Newstral uses the information about you so that it can better respond to your wishes and needs. For example, the information can be used to make sure that you see advertisements that are better suited to you.
- For protection purposes and to generate anonymous statistical data.
As stated above, your IP address is included in the automatically generated data. Newstral records these addresses to determine which computers visit the Newstral website in order to protect the Newstral website against hacking. Newstral also uses the automatically generated data to generate anonymous user statistics. Third parties that produce user statistics and perform web analyses for Newstral may obtain automatically generated data, including your IP address.
- Furthermore, Newstral will only provide your personal data to third parties if it is obliged to do so on account of national or international laws, case law and/or regulations, if Newstral considers it necessary to do so in defence of its own rights or if you have given permission to do so.
- Third party services
- How does Newstral protect your personal information?
Newstral takes appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your (personal) information against loss or any form of unlawful use. For example, passwords are saved in a coded form so that nobody has access to them, not even the people at Newstral Headquarters.
- Transfer of data to countries outside the EU
For technical and operational reasons, it may be necessary for your (personal) data to be transferred to (the servers of) companies affiliated to Newstral and/or advertisers located in the United States or other countries outside of Europe. All the information on the Newstral website is saved on very powerful computers (servers), which are currently located in Germany. However, it is possible that, in the future, Newstral will wish to save the information on the website on servers located in another country. If this is to happen, the information contained in the user profiles will also be saved in a foreign country. Since legislation concerning data protection may then not offer the same protection as in the European Union, you hereby agree that your (personal) information can be transferred to the United States or another country outside of Europe.
- Viewing, changing and deleting your data
You can view your (personal) data in your user-account and modify this data as required at any point in time. Once you have deleted your profile (or requested with Newstral to do so for you), Newstral will delete all your personal data. This means that your profile will be permanently deleted. This action cannot be undone if you wish to use Newstral again at a later time. After you have deleted your profile, it is possible that your personal data will remain in the back-ups until the back-ups are erased.
- Are minors permitted to use Newstral?
Privacy rightly is a sensitive subject. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
